Swiss American?

[edit]

The name "Kuechly" sounds Swiss in my ears. Could somebody look this up in Dictionary of American Family Names (ISBN 0195081374)? --bender235 (talk) 16:24, 17 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Looked it up. It is indeed of South German/Swiss German origin. --bender235 (talk) 13:06, 26 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Really? I had come to the conclusion it was Austrian, named after the city of Kuchl. I see an Austrian violinist named Rainer Küchl and there is a married couple, Charlotte and Emma Kuechly, in the 1940 US census [1] -- Charlotte was from Austria, and they moved to Cincinnati, which is where Luke is from. --PsyMar (talk) 16:24, 26 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Luke Kuechly name change

[edit]

Can anyone tell me where 'Lucius Augustus' came from? I have not seen it anywhere but here and his dad said his middle name is 'August' in an interview on you tube, wouldn't he use his son's correct name? What is the source used for the name change? --mddkid--

It’s his nickname

Signal calling

[edit]

It is my understanding that Kuechly is a top-notch signal caller, and captain of the Panthers. Anybody up to finding some citations to work these important recognitions into his player profile? Wikiuser100 (talk) 12:15, 11 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Career statistics don't reflect playoffs

[edit]

Pretty sure a players career statistics are supposed to reflect total stats in all games, but the career statistics panel in the side bar at the top only reflects his regular season numbers. Missing 61 post season tackles, 2 post season sacks, and several post season interceptions as examples. 63.225.202.42 (talk) 08:12, 10 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
