I suggest that the editors here get opinions at one of our noticeboards as to whether the subject's real name should be used. If no verdict is obtained before the protection expires, I recommend that we go ahead with enforcement of our WP:3RR rules in the normal way. EdJohnston (talk) 00:53, 31 May 2008 (UTC)

No Disclaimers
[edit]This page in a nutshell: Disclaimers should not be used in articles. All articles are covered by a general disclaimer. |

- What disclaimer are you talking about and where is the link to a Wikipedia policy? John celona (talk) 01:25, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
- The disclaimer posted said: "Links may contain adult material". And I believe Wikipedia:No disclaimers in articles is what you are asking for. Isn't policy great? You should try reading WP:BLP. I know I'm a dimwit, but I managed to read it and comprehend it. AniMate 02:06, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
Real name
[edit]The issue of including the birth names of porn stars has been discussed extensively by the Wikipedia community. Birth names are only to be included if it is sourced from reliable sources. Trivia on sites such as IMDb... should not be used as sources. These media do not have adequate levels of editorial oversight or author credibility and lack assured persistence.
See Wikipedia:P*#Real_names_of_performers and the discussion at Wikipedia:Biographies_of_living_persons/Noticeboard/Ongoing_BLP_concerns#Porn_actors.27_birth_names. I would prefer not to prevent people from editing the article by protecting it, but I will do so if these rules continue to be violated. Ground Zero | t 23:05, 14 April 2014 (UTC)
Per WP:BLP, edits by new or unregistered editors will have to be reviewed by another editor before being accepted. Ground Zero | t 22:35, 15 April 2014 (UTC)
- "Lukas Ridgeston" is not an actor. It is the film name of an actor. Without using his real name, this should be mentioned in the first sentence. 2607:FEA8:D5DF:1AF0:55C8:168B:3E4C:23FB (talk) 18:31, 21 April 2021 (UTC)
