Alleged Resident's Identity
[edit]According to the TR source, we have an unnamed individual using an online handle claiming to be the resident refuting the claims.....sounds questionable, especially since it should have been fine to publish his identity since a police report was already made. His name need not appear on tis article, but does need to appear on the source to show that TR had pracriced due care in verifying the resident's identity. Until then, we have to point that out in the article if his counterclaims are to be used, especially since its a BLP issue. Its pretty clear cut, I dont think we need to bring it to RSSS yet.... - Repeat issue apparently. To reiterate- Especially considering the tone and language used in the writing of the TREmeritus article, its worded like an opinion piece rather that neutral news reporting, with obvious objective writer bias. If there is still insistence in including this, a visit to RSSS is in order. Zhanzhao (talk) 08:34, 29 January 2012 (UTC)

[edit]I reworded some parts of the article (i.e. changing "profitable to "financially viable" as it was used in the article), and removed some of the writeup since the sourcing do not mee WP:RS.:
- http://failrailsg.appspot.com/major-disruptions.html: this does not seem like RS, as they claim to grab the disruption data without showing the actual source.
- http://geraldgiam.sg/2011/07/overhauling-singapores-public-transport-model/ : This is a blog citing an opinion piece... double whammy.
- http://theindependent.sg/blog/2013/12/27/here-is-why-there-should-be-no-fare-increase/: Article in question is a "contributed letter" to the site.
- http://therealsingapore.com: Their about page claims its a The Real Singapore (TRS) is a free online platform and a user-generated content site for all Singaporeans to express themselves freely and without any form of censorship., while its disclaimer, specifically pt 7.3 states that You acknowledge that it is not TheRealSingapore.com’s policy to exercise editorial control over, and to review, edit or amend any data, information, materials or contents of any User Content, posting, email or any information that may be inserted or made available on the Site by other users of the Services and that TheRealSingapore.com does not endorse and shall not be responsible for any such content..
If editor wishes to reinsert the writeup, please provide better references. Zhanzhao (talk) 22:53, 11 March 2015 (UTC)
