Edit warring over partner
[edit]I've fully protected this article in the WP:Wrong version because of the persistent edit warring over the addition of |partner=Rami Malek
to the infobox. Consensus needs to be found by discussion on this talk page. --RexxS (talk) 21:33, 21 August 2019 (UTC)
- Agreed to having a discussion. I don't think the relationship has been publically official long enough to be included in the infobox. They announced their relationship January 23, 2019 (source). Perhaps in January 2020, one year, it can be included. oncamera 21:56, 21 August 2019 (UTC)
I have been reverting it because I don't believe they have dated long enough to be mentioned in the partner infobox. In the past, people have told me at least 2 years or so is appropriate. So if I got it wrong I'm sorry. I strongly agree on your discussion and with Oncamera. Cristabel0 (talk) 21 August 2019 (UTC)
Given names
[edit]I've just reverted an IP who changed her name to "Lucy Christabel Evangeline Boynton", assuming that it was the usual vandalism. However, on checking the source, I can't see how http://www.fanpop.com/clubs/lucy-boynton/articles/118905/title/about-lucy-boynton-introduction can be considered a reliable source. I checked https://www.imdb.com/name/nm2377903/ to find that gives "Lucy Christabel Boynton", but there's no guarantee that's reliable either. DNB at https://portal.dnb.de/opac.htm?method=simpleSearch&cqlMode=true&query=nid%3D113820644X also gives "Lucy Christabel Boynton". My gut reaction is to remove any mention of middle names until authoritative sources can be found, and I've now gone ahead and done that. I don't mind being reverted, but I do strongly suggest whoever adds name information makes sure thay have a good source for it. --RexxS (talk) 16:44, 14 October 2019 (UTC)
Infobox image change
[edit]-
Current
-
New
The newer photo is more recent and is better quality since it was taken with a camera as opposed to the current image which is a video screenshot, which I think is fine unless there is an actual photograph that can be used instead, which in this case there is. Also I think that the newer image has better framing as it focuses more on Boynton's face.

- The new one you're suggesting is a copyrighted image and doesn't have valid permissions to be uploaded onto Wikipedia. The source on flickr says "all rights reserved" so even though it's a better picture, it shouldn't even be in the wikicommons. oncamera (talk page) 18:46, 22 August 2021 (UTC)
Where best to place this particular role? (The Dreams of Bethany Mellmoth, 2016)
[edit]While browsing a fansite gallery (as you do), I came across Lucy's role in an adaptation of William Boyd's Dreams of Bethany Mellmoth, something that AFAIK hasn't been included yet. While IMDb refers to the adaptation as a TV short, its one-off nature makes me feel it might be more suitable for inclusion under Lucy's film roles instead. It doesn't help that William Boyd's own account of the adaptation refers to it as both a film production *and* a TV production. Technically there are these things called TV films, but still...
I am provisionally including it in the TV section anyway while referring to it as a "short/pilot", but I'd still appreciate it if someone with far more experience in these things could give their two cents. - Dvaderv2 (talk) 23:24, 18 December 2022 (UTC)
Incorrect Information - Lucy Boynton Death
[edit]am writing to report incorrect information on the Lucy Boynton Wikipedia page. The page currently states her date of death as May 13, 2024.
I haven't found any news articles or obituaries reporting on Ms. Boynton's passing. Additionally, there's no mention of her death on major news websites.
Given the lack of evidence and the presence of Ms. Boynton likely being alive, I believe this information to be a hoax.
I kindly request that you investigate this matter and remove the false information about her death from the Lucy Boynton Wikipedia page.
Thank you. 70.181.66.248 (talk) 04:00, 8 July 2024 (UTC)
