Repeated draftifications

[edit]

Velella, since the draftification has been disputed and the article repeatedly recreated, I think this should have been brought to AfD instead of draftifying again. --Paul_012 (talk) 19:08, 15 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Paul 012 - I didn't see that. Can you point me to the diff of the draftitfication dispute please?  Velella  Velella Talk   20:35, 15 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
This page was originally created in Draftspace, then created in Mainspace by copy&paste by the author. The first draftification was by Kingboyk, who also performed a history merge (log). SAMUEL WIKI EDITOR, the original author, then reverted the move in this edit, with the edit summary, "revert". I think this constitutes an objection. --Paul_012 (talk) 10:11, 16 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Velella: There was also a version at Draft:LUCA BERARDI which was deleted under G11. I concur that the best approach here would probably be to move back to mainspace and send to AfD. --kingboyk (talk) 14:44, 17 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Kingboyk Paul 012 That sounds sensible but I am not sure of the mechanics. I spend time railing against editors just dumping articles in main-space without review and to move it back would seem to be doing just that. Equally reviewing and appearing to accept it into main-space and then nominating at AfD seems disingenuous or unethical. I will move it back if that seems OK, but I would appreciate your views first. @Velella: As I see it, you'd just be undoing your own action, and you could state in the AfD what happened re the draftification, the objection, and this discussion. The only similar case I can recall since my return to actively editing Wikipedia last year was this one where a user mistakenly moved a draft, it was moved back, and nominated for AfD with no complaints (so far). That said, I wouldn't want you to get into trouble on account of my advice. If you're unsure, you may want to check with a friendly admin or at one of the help desks or noticeboards. --kingboyk (talk) 23:14, 17 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
