Korongo

[edit]

Jasepl, why did you remove Korongo from the destinations list? OK, the entry was unreferenced, but so are all. Remove the whole paragraph, then? Jan olieslagers (talk) 11:49, 26 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced is one thing, and of it self wasn't the reason for removal. Other factors:
The addition was made by an IP, who looks to have a history of randomly editing a host of airports in a 2-day span, nearly all of which were reverted.
  • March 2011" is not a valid date, per established guidelines. An exact, confirmed start date is required.
  • Korongo's article itself says "expected" and "first quarter". Granted it is Wikipedia after all, and one must take what it says with a bucket of salt, but it's certainly not a confirmation of anything, start dates or routes, or even the airline's existence
  • No website, which is a bit odd in this day and age. Nothing on SN's site either. Nothing anywhere, in fact, that would indicate such an airline exists, let alone confirm it is operational or has any definite plans. The closest thing is some news reports and blogs saying SN will set up a subsidiary in the Zaire.
Thanks, jasepl (talk) 13:21, 26 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Fair enough. Thanks for bothering! Jan olieslagers (talk) 14:37, 26 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, the website does have become active: http://www.flykorongo.com/index_en.html Leaving all your other misgivings intact. Jan olieslagers (talk) 16:44, 26 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Oh good find! And yeah, the first line "Dane un futur proche..." gives it all away! jasepl (talk) 04:32, 27 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
