The facility is not closed
[edit]Cannot find any supporting documentation to show that the facility is closed. In fact, recent news articles say other prisons are closing and bringing their prisoners TO this location as part of a consolidation process.
See http://www.cfnews13.com/article/news/2011/march/219379/Brevard-Correctional-Institution-closing-as-part-of-state-consolidation-plan?cid=rss and http://www.dc.state.fl.us/facilities/region3/314.html (97.102.11.38 (talk) 21:16, 23 June 2011 (UTC))
Closure of CAMP Jones. Maximum Custody does not apply to female inmates.
[edit]CAMP Jones was closed around June 2011. But only the facility, the program was moved to the Work Camp where it remains operational.
FL DOC policy does not provide for female inmates to be classified as "Maximum Management", which is the highest security level in non-death sentenced inmates. The highest security level for non-death sentenced females is Close Management I, which is assigned to inmates who are habitual rule breakers, commit crimes while incarcerated, or are assaultive towards staff or other inmates. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.202.115.180 (talk) 20:45, 15 October 2011 (UTC)
