Summary-per-Episode?

Do you think it would make sense to write a small summary of each episode? I think it would be nice. I'm open to suggestions. --dionyziz 10:51, 1 August 2005 (UTC).

I second this notion. This would be extremely helpful if we can gather a willingly helpful group of Wikipedians to help out. However, for organization's sake, if we agree to do this then we should separate the manga and anime into two different articles. Mintpie 02:20, 2 June 2007 (UTC)

Why is there mention of the anime under Loveless (manga)?

I would just like to know why the anime is mentioned under Loveless (manga).

Shouldn't the two be separate articles?

I think it's not too bad of an idea if we can strengthen and expand the anime into a respectable article. If we can prevent it from becoming a stub, I don't see why not. Mintpie 02:21, 2 June 2007 (UTC)

Keeping anime and manga references seperate

In editing the article, I've been coming across very many anime-only references. Because the anime ended over a year ago and didn't cover a large part of the story, I think there should be a distinction made, and effort to reference both the manga and anime when it's possible, as well as their crucial differences. I'll be editing the article to reflect this, and I think it would be good for new contributors to keep this in mind. I don't think there will be any opposition, but if there is, please tell me your reasoning. --Honeybiscuit 01:55, 28 June 2006 (UTC)

I agree, they are really very different, and there should be a distinction. Perhaps someone should add an anime vs. manga comparison? Final Fantasy VII

Almost definately completely obscure and nothing to do with this at all, but having not read the manga/seen the anime I don't know: Right at the end of Final Fantasy VII if, instead of going onto the final boss, you go back to your ship, and speak to a character called Cid, he asks if you've ever seen the play LOVELESS. If you say Yes he gives you a few touching lines from the ending. I typed it into Wikipedia on the remote possibilty that it's a real play, and ended up here. Then I saw that this was produced by Square Enix... obviously this manga is way more recent than FF7, but is there any possibilty of a link? --Aceizace 19:20, 14 July 2006 (UTC)

There's no relation. It wasn't 'produced' by Square-Enix -- G-Fantasy is just a comic magazine the company owns, and the series in the magazine don't necessarily have anything to with Final Fantasy or their other games. I'm not even certain Loveless ran in G-Fantasy -- some of Kouga Yun's previous works were indeed serialized there, but I can't find any proof of any kind that Loveless was. I think there's no relation in terms of timescale too!!! Look at the years each came out (ie ff7 was first - by far)! Also there's a huge loveless sign behind Aeris at the begining (when she is an unknown flower girl) and you can make out portions of the words 'My Bloody Valentine' - they are a British band and their most popular album was called Loveless. --Sharonlees 11:44, 24 October 2006 (UTC)

FF7 Crisis Core

In Final Fantasy VII; Crisis Core for the PSP there is a great deal more information about LOVELESS including many quotes from it by the character Genesis, who habitually quotes LOVELESS is/was a great fan of LOVELESS. (The novel in the FF7 universe) There is enough material and it is featured prominently enough in the game (Crisis Core, not original FF7) that it definitely merits an article. --198.101.45.140 (talk) 18:36, 16 June 2008 (UTC)

G-Fantasy references

I've researched off and on for months, but I can't find any proof that Loveless ever ran in G-Fantasy. I've found sites discussing the debut of Zero-Sum back in 2002, and also makes references to the "new series" by Kouga Yun starting there. I also counted back the chapter numbers, and they correlate perfectly with the release of Zero-Sum's 50th issue a few months back (counted with her breaks kept in mind). Because the evidence weighed so strongly in one direction, I removed the references in the article to G-Fantasy and the Square-Enix publisher. If anyone can give me any hard proof that it was actually serialized there at one point, please point it out to me -- I sincerely want to know! Honeybiscuit 20:14, 23 October 2006 (UTC)

GET RID OF THE SPOILERS!!!!!!

The spoilers in this article are hidden poorly and completely ruined a series I've been waiting quite some time for, and have been buying on the release date for quite some time now. If someone doesn't get rid of them soon, I will.

Agreed. Some anonymous user(s) keep adding new spoilers whenever a new chapter is released. Personally, I don't think they're a good idea when so few people who read the manga are caught up to the new chapters. I only see bad coming from it. I'll edit them out. Also, I'm undecided on what to do about the Seimei spoiler. I wrote it myself a long time ago, and the reason I put it there was because it was so widely considered the "Luke, I am your father"-type spoiler of the Loveless fandom and heavily influenced any series discussion the article could have afterwards. But looking back on it I don't think it was such a good idea to put it there, even if it's marked with a spoiler tag. I also saw the spoiler is inadvertently referenced in the Nisei description too. Frankly, both articles could stand alone without these spoilers, so I'll remove them for now to avoid anyone else getting spoiled. Is the bit about Soubi's past - parents, taken in by Ritsu-sensei when he was six - a spoiler for the most recent chapters because i deffinately don't recall it. If it is for the most recent chapter shouldn't there be a spoler warning?

Mooncrest, after browsing Wikipedia's spoiler policy, and the discussions of said policy, I don't feel that is a good enough reason to have so many spoilers in the article. The purpose of Wikipedia's articles is not to describe every book, movie, comic, etc. down to the last detail, but to give a useful source of information that is helpful to a broad range of people. I don't think a new reader, or a reader who hasn't gotten very far, or someone who is merely considering reading Loveless should be dodging spoilers left and right just so that some people don't have to wait to find out what happens in the next volume. But I do acknowledge this is not a black-and-white matter, so there are clearly exceptions. As it is, I removed almost all the spoilers from the article, but left a few that I considered to follow Wikipedia's policy (particularly the "is it widely known" part) but again, it's a big grey area. If you (or anyone else) wants to discuss this problem further, please do so, I'd like to hear more input on this. Honeybiscuit 22:58, 8 November 2007 (UTC)

Volume Summary

Would someone please start a summary for every volume, it's hard to find any on the net, and i havent found any for the 5th,6th,and 7th volume, i would have done it myself but i cant subscribe to the Manga, and ive only watched the Anime. Nanatsu no Tsuki...

I've noticed the phrase "Nanatsu no Tsuki" in the article several times. I'm 100% sure that means "Seven Moons" when translated, so I'm just going to change those to "The Seven Moons." Abby724 01:56, 6 February 2007 (UTC)

Dr Shouko

I think she should appear in the article, but i haven`t read the manga so i can`t be sure she has the same personality as in the anime, so i can`t make the change, but i`ll try and find information, please someone who has read the manga do it Zidane tribal 22:55, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

DVD Region Links

The references to DVD Regions on this page (R1, R2) link to disambiguation pages for these abbreviations, but there are no links in these pages on to an article about DVD Regions. I could just edit those disambiguation pages but I'm not sure whether these abbreviations are standard or even common enough to make it worthwhile (they may even be frowned upon by DVD Encoding aficionados for all I know). Alternatively, the references in this page could be pointed to the article DVD_region_code. I'm not sure what practice is followed in Wikipedia generally - though presumably if every reference to DVD regions went to these disambiguation pages someone would have spotted it long since. Sorting out the love lines.

Okay so I just got into Loveless, but I read all six volumes of the manga that came out. I absolutely love it, but I would like to know a few things - if there are knowledgeable people out there, help me out! So..do Ritsuka and Soubi love each other? I mean, they are Fighter and Sacrifice and yeah, they kiss or whatever, but it seems so unclear as to what their feelings are. That's really all I want to know.. Number of volumes.

I've noticed other users have been changing the volume number in the infobox, but it's incorrect. Volume 8 just got announced, and it will be out in February 2008. Volume 9 has not been announced, and based on the release dates of previous volumes, won't be out for a long, long time -- probably a year. A certain scanlation group has been incorrectly numbering their releases and creating a lot of confusion and misinformation, so I wanted to make sure people knew why there is really only eight volumes. To reiterate, there is no volume 9 yet, so the chapters by that scanlation group numbered "volume 9, chapter 3" and such are merely speculation, and shouldn't be treated as fact. English Manga Page incorrect.

That isn't really the English Manga Page. It's hardly even a sub page where you can buy the manga, and comments are put on it by users of the site. Shounen-ai?/ Editor?

This isn't really shounen-ai. There are allusions to Soubi Loving Ritsuka, but it becomes clearer with every issue up to current that, that really isn't the case.

If I remember right there are males, who love each other in it, but that still wouldn't make it shounen-ai. Just because there are gay males in it?

I think the way Soubi, and Loveless are portrayed so close in the artists actually inserts, ect, are actually fanservice.

Also, there's a long, well thought out, note from the editor (English version) in every volume. Why does the Editor do this, this is highly unusual, is he/she a fan of this series? ...But shounen-ai doesn't specifically involve love, despite the literal translation. It just involves romantic actions that are not explicitly sexual in nature between two males. Furthermore, it's what it is marketed as, therefore it should certainly be classified as shounen-ai, in my opinion. 68.54.76.191 (talk) 00:57, 5 February 2008 (UTC)

Rearrange character lists?

Currently only Ritsuka and Soubi are listed as main characters and all the others are listed under "Minor Characters". This doesn't make sense to me as some of them appear very infrequently while others are in most of the chapters. Seimei, Yuiko, and Shinonome; and perhaps Ristu, for instance. Problems

1. Starting at the top, are the "protagonists" really catboys? Aoyagi Ritsuka is - but who else can be counted as both protagonist and catboy? One solution would be to make it protagonist singular. But this sentence is in any case a little less than neutral - catboys are not unique to Loveless (though I don't think I've come across the term outside of this article). 2. "the role of sexuality in a societal context" seems about 5 words too long. Have altered that.

3. In the manga at least, the statement that Nanatsu no Tsuki is responsible for Seimei's killing is made by Seimei in his message to Ritsuka - not by Soubi. Altered that. Anihl (talk) 01:39, 9 October 2008 (UTC)

Just throwing this out there, it says in the plot summary that they "Challenge Septimal Moon" ... Well the entire plot summary is kinda behind the series in general but last I checked they seem to be working with, or at least relatively neutral towards the Seven Moons. I mean to me it seems like the plot summary here has lagged behind the Manga and is stuck back in around book 4, I mean perhaps we don't want to give spoilers but its hardly a summary given that is hasn't explained that Seimei faked his death and what not. My point being the plot summary seems kind of behind what is going on. So is it supposed to be like that and is more of a plot OVERVIEW i.e doesn't explain everything that happens or is there some other reason it has lagged so far behind the series? I mean honestly "Ritsuka discovered that an organization called 'Septimal Moon' (Nanatsu no tsuki) was responsible for Seimei's death." yes from the perspective of someone who hasn't read book 5 yet perhaps. Or for another example "Recently it has been revealed seimei has a violent personality, etc. etc. For example writing "Ritsuka Im back" on the wall in Ritsu's blood" Well Im not POSITIVE on the dates but as far as I recall that chapter was released about a year ago. I mean AT THE LEAST half a year. So it just seems like this whole thing has lagged behind. I mean in all fairness I suppose not everyone reads chapters as they come out in Zero-Sum but still.

My point being to me the "Plot" seems more of a plot overview of the first four books than a summary of the entire plot of loveless.
