Convert stage names to real names?
[edit]Citations from album liner notes and ASCAP have their real names listed as songwriters, and while some are stage names, other sources cited also included their real names, and don't see any reason to not convert. † MunRis † 19:14, 18 December 2018 (UTC)
- I'm not sure what you're talking about, the liner notes use and the Korea Music Copyright Association both list BTS members' stage names. DanielleTH (Say hi!) 02:13, 29 December 2018 (UTC)
I'm referring to adapting the members' stage names being changed to their real names. While both their stage names and real names are credited through Broadcast Music, Inc. and Korea Music Copyright Association, it would better suit to replace their stage names and use their real names. It won't be an issue with [1], and becomes reptitive in credits. An example is J-hope. His name on songwriting and production credits don't capitalize his stage name when used, and his real name isn't prioritized as much as his stage name. Again, it's not an issue, but to better adapt their full names from liner notes and other credits into the track listing. MunRis • †alk 00:34, 30 December 2018 (UTC)
- MunRis BTS don't have set capitalization they use for name credits. The only constant is they always use their stage names except for pre-debut instances like when RM wrote songs for GLAM. For example, it is either credited SUGA or Suga, J-Hope or j-hope, etc so we've just been using how they choose to write their name for the credits each album. It's why if you look back at all their albums the capitalization isn't constant. If people want to come together once and for all and decide which to use since BTS goes back and forth we can do that, but as far as I know no discussion has been held for it. User:Ukiss2ne14lyfe Blackpink and EXO have been crediting themselves through their birth names, and you stating Korea Music Copyright Association credits the stage and birth names, so there should be no issue with converting their stage names into birth names (RM to Kim Namjoon).MunRis • †alk 20:15, 18 January 2019 (UTC)
- MunRis I never said that please read my comment again or look at KMCA yourself to see. And blackpink and EXO have nothing to do with BTS. Ukiss2ne14lyfe (talk) 21:45, 18 January 2019 (UTC)
