"Tin Roof, Rusted"
[edit]Does anyone know what this means? Cindy Wilson delivers this line in the song in response to Fred Schneider's query: "You're What?!" I understand that the shack would have a rusted tin roof, but this interchange between these two members of the band never made sense to me, and it seems like it could be a veiled reference to something else having nothing to do with the structural integrity of the shack... - Okay, I just answered my own question. According to the online Urban Dictionary, the term "Tin roof rusted" refers to a girl who is pregnant, usually as a mistake (not planned). I should have looked it up before posting the question... Saukkomies 15:38, 15 November 2009 (UTC)
- Yes, but does that usage of the term predate the song's release, or did the slang usage arise in response to the line being used in the song (as was the case with Turning Japanese)? Stonemason89 (talk) 16:13, 17 June 2010 (UTC)
