Reference for his death

[edit]

I don't think the current reference for his death (http://www.bmansbluesreport.com/2012/02/louisiana-red-has-passed-this-is.html)is appropriate as it is a personal blog, clearly owned by the person who posted the link. I think the previous source (Pittsburgh Post Gazette) was probable better. I have already removed the reference to the blog site twice and don't want to get into an edit war over this. Can someone else give their opinion.Sarahj2107 (talk) 01:39, 26 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with you on both points - sadly, some editors will not take 'no' for an answer.

I would like to add to Louisiana Red's Page. I have rare photos of him at the 2010 Blues Music Awards when he won 2 awards. I am not familiar with the editing process or if my intentions are even inline with wikipedia.org policy. Can someone help me understand the procedures here and what is and is not appropriate. I tried to navigate the wikipedia edit policies to find some guidelines but i think have a better chance of raising the titanic than figuring it out this way. Any info appreciated.Moneymakerspy (talk) 01:02, 19 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Rare photos of Louisiana Red at Blues Music Awards in 2010

[edit]

I spent a lot of time with Red at the 2010 BMAs and have photos of him at the event. Are they not appropriate for his wikipedia page? Most of the photos are of him plying cigar box guitars I had made and brought to the event.

The late Louisiana Red plays a three-string cigar box guitar in the hotel lobby during the 2010 Blues Music Awards. Guitar was made by the photagrapher Shane Hopkins Founder of Sugarbox Guitar Company

Please Let me know if these add value to his page and Wikipedia in general as I have many rare photos of late Blues Musicians playing my instruments.Moneymakerspy (talk) 02:55, 19 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
