Hey, your article looks pretty great!

I think making one of her works, like Blue Marrow, a subheading (maybe under career) and highlighting some details about it would be great! Less well-known authors usually don't have separate articles for their own work (like JK Rowling who doesn't need much of a description of Harry Potter on her page since it gets it own article). It doesn't have to be an entire paragraph. Just a few sentences.

I was checking out the second source and found the passage from Blue Marrow referring to "Riding English" pretty interesting. I'm assuming the author's description of it in terms of it being "...a decolonial act, a poetics of resurgence and revitalization that straddle Western forms as a means to transport and dissemination Indigenous language, culture and politics" is a well grounded one (not just a purely personal interpretation)."

The use of cree words might be worth mentioning: "Blue Marrow is distinctive for its use of Cree words and phrases. âcimowinis, The Keeper of the Stories, is our guide through the text and along the way we also encounter nôhkom âtayôhkan (The Keeper of Sacred Legends), ohkomipanak (Eternal Grandmothers who speak) and môniyaw-kisêyiniw (Old white man)."

That's just my suggestion. Sorry, I know this is pretty late (I haven't gotten comments on mine back either). I'll email Jan and Jenna to let them know since you won't have time to make an edit if you chose to do so. Anyone else's opinion on my idea is welcome! Feel free to disagree (I won't be offended).

Hey! My general suggestions would be to avoid things like unspecific claims without citations, which come across as vague, and informal phrasing (such as "ripped away", "later on", "unfortunately", "proud grandmother"), as these make your prose read like a story, rather than a factual article. Additionally, I think reading over the article once more to look for minor grammatical errors such as improper comma use and "an" instead of "a", etc. would be beneficial. Also, I would recommend italicizing/quoting your author's texts. Interesting article and I hope this is helpful! Inanoffhandway (talk) 17:48, 5 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

It may also be worth creating separate pages for Halfe's works. She recently publish Sôhkêyihta: The Poetry of Sky Dancer Louise Bernice Halfe (2018), which is a collection of her poetry and a substantial achievement in her career which could also be an addition to her page.
