bareback rider?

I removed a sentence from this article that claimed his childhood career goal was to be a bareback rider in a circus, but had no citation. If true, I'm not convinced this bit of trivia belongs in an encyclopedia article. If it's not true, it obviously doesn't. Please don't put that back in without citing a source.
