Merger proposal

[edit]

Hi, as nominator I believe this should be merged into The Thing main article. The article is sourced to a single reference, and the content here could be wittled down into one or two sentences in the main The Thing article. I do not believe this article is notable on its own. Support: although this is a nice little bonus for fans of John Carpenter and the film's original score, that's all it is: a bonus. Four short pieces of music that Carpenter composed to complement Ennio Morricone's original score, re-recorded and given a very limited release only on the two record labels' websites and Carpenter's Bandcamp site, nowhere else. It's not available from any physical record stores or online stores like Amazon, and it's not available on any streaming sites like Spotify or Apple Music. There are plenty of reliable sources announcing its release [1], [2], but they all just say the same thing as the source already in the article, an announcement of the forthcoming release. No reviews, no charts, and fails WP:NALBUM – the announcement of its release, along with the vinyl reissue of Morricone's score, can easily be included in a couple of lines in the "Music" section of The Thing.
