A disjoint set of numbered avenues
[edit]There seem to be two different sets of numbered avenues in Los Angeles. In the Northeast area, including Highland Park, Mount Washington, Glassell Park, etc, there are roads designated as Avenue 18, Avenue 19, through, at least, Avenue 67. In the Mid-City region, west of Arlington Avenue, there are roads designated as 2nd Avenue, 3rd Avenue, through 13th Avenue. I don't see that any numbers higher than 13 are present mid-city and any number lower than 18 present in the northeast. Were they, even though remote from each other, part of the same numbering system? I wish someone who knows would address this question in the article. Sterrettc (talk) 16:25, 12 April 2013 (UTC)
