[edit]This article seems a little too opinionated and lacking neutrality. For instance, it states "he became more and more out of touch with ordinary residents of his riding." Well, where is the evidence to back this up? What objective surveys and data can be cited to prove that the majority of his former constituents were against gay marriage, for back to work legislation for dock-workers and minimum sentences for offenders? This seems a little opinionated when according to elections canada (as reported in the Globe and Mail) that he lost by Andrew Scheer by only about 900 votes in the last election. Andrew Scheer is just as out of touch with constituents as Nystrom was...in theory...just based on the votes tallied.
I think this article is pretty weak and that readers would be better served by his official parliamentary biography. If you're going to take out opinions on Nystrom, there should be a seperate article on that, or cite the objective studies and statistics that prove he's out of touch.
I don't approve of Lorne Nystrom either, I think he's a has been and it's time to move on, but that doesn't change the fact that Wikipedia is supposed to be an encyclopedia and not an editorial or opinion piece.
