Please verify death information. It seems less than credible, as a Google search turns up nothing on her dying, except this Wikipedia article.
The reference to her memorial on her website says that she has passed away. 203.213.94.224 (talk) 11:35, 29 November 2009 (UTC)
- I would say if her official site says she's dead, then she's dead. For this reason I have updated the article accordingly. The fact there has been no other media coverage is curious, however not every family announces deaths to the whole world. The Rec Arts Movies Erotica (RAME.net) site also lists her death; although it is connected with official sources within the adult film industry, I don't know whether the link would be acceptable here. The URL is http://www.rame.net/faq/deadporn. It indictates the disease McComas was fighting, however I didn't add that to the article as it wasn't mentioned in the official announcement. I have left the "more sources" banner up on the article page as improvements are still needed in that area, plus her film career was more extensive than suggested by the article. 68.146.81.123 (talk) 15:49, 29 November 2009 (UTC)
Lorissa did indeed die November 3, 2009, although it was by suicide after multiple family tragedies and a long fight with RS dystrophy that had left her mostly wheelchair-bound. The auto calculator of her age needs to be turned off, as she was 38 when she died (23 days short of 39). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.108.150.81 (talk) 15:15, 29 March 2010 (UTC)

It's also worth noting (if it's going to be mentioned at all) that her arrest on charges of prostitution occurred in Cincinnati at the height of that city's war on pornography and so-called indecency. (During this period, merchants could not even display Playboy magazine behind a sales counter without covering up all but the title.) Lorissa was arrested for "prostitution" while working a bachelor party -- for allowing a customer to tuck a dollar bill into a garter around her thigh about two inches above her knee. Unbeknownst to Lorissa, who had recently launched her service, even that completely non-sexual act qualified as "prostitution" under Cincinnati's broad ordinance. (See Cincinnati Magazine, February 1994, excerpt at http://books.google.com/books?id=Xh4DAAAAMBAJ&pg=PA87&lpg=PA87&dq=lorissa+arrested+cincinnati&source=bl&ots=ajjqU_as4Q&sig=zv5TgvYGQCICkpfqc5zyYwAbKME&hl=en&ei=N0jKS5zNJ4H-tAPyx7GAAw&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=5&ved=0CBgQ6AEwBA#v=onepage&q=lorissa%20arrested%20cincinnati&f=false) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.108.150.81 (talk) 23:50, 17 April 2010 (UTC)
PLEASE correct the age entry? Rather than "39" listed by her date of birth, it should read "38" by her date of death. I know this sounds weird, but she was a friend of mine, and I want her page to be accurate.
- done (and not weird)--Lateg (talk) 20:26, 25 April 2010 (UTC)
I updated the article to reflect the reality of the "prostitution" charge, including a link to a Cincinnati Magazine article, but somehow screwed up the reference tags. I even managed to screw up footnote 1, even though I didn't do anything to it. Sorry for the inconvenience.
- fixed, although I shoulda combined the 2 references--Lateg (talk) 20:26, 25 April 2010 (UTC)
Thanks, Lateg. I appreciate the effort.
Why has her height suddenly been changed to 5'4"? Lorissa was solidly 5'5", even a smidge over. She was listed everywhere I ever saw as 5'5, and I know that personally she claimed that height (and seemed to be it, when I stood near her). Anyone? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.68.203.27 (talk) 03:59, 28 September 2010 (UTC)

[edit]Reingelt (talk · contribs) recent edits are not supported by the references. She died recently, so WP:BLP technically doesn't apply, but the articles don't say she was convicted, so "prostitute" and "sex offender" are not allowable. — Arthur Rubin (talk) 03:29, 17 October 2010 (UTC)
- Prostitution's an activity moreso than a verdict or legal outcome. Like drug smuggling, it is what it is independent of whether you get busted for it. Likely she prostituted herself at the particular time and place, per that community's particular understanding of the activity. I have removed the sex offender category in consideration of the point you've made. I'd incline to add in the category 'Prostitutes who committed suicide'. Some cause-of-death and anecdotal information about the biographical subject is at [1]. Pray for the respite of her wandering soul & that of the related co-deceased.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Reingelt (talk • contribs)
- There isn't yet credible evidence that she committed suicide; your "reference" doesn't seem to be a reliable, or even credible, source. If you would put the real website, rather than a particularized Google docs reference, it would be easier to check. I also believe that you're wrong as to "prostitution" in regard Wikipedia articles, and certainly wrong in regard Wikipedia categories. — Arthur Rubin (talk) 14:54, 17 October 2010 (UTC)
Although this page hasn't been touched in 9 years apparently, I'm visiting because I saw her listed on IMDB's birthday list today. Her website has been taken down and the domain is currently being sold by GoDaddy.com. If I knew more about Wiki editing, I'd fix it myself. 11/26/19 2600:1700:9B0:45F0:9BD:5B63:FD2E:AFCB (talk) 09:37, 26 November 2019 (UTC)
