Proposed edit of "Controversy" section
[edit]The section of the Lori Lipman Brown page headed "Controversy," edited on 3 July 2008 by 70.15.224.124 reads:
Brown has been criticized by many Americans, including conservatives and liberals, for what is perceived to be intolerance and unwarranted hostility towards religions, particularly Christianity for the consistent attacks it has endured by her and her lobby, the Secular Coalition of America.
Some have pointed out an apparent dichotomy, in which theism is censored and severely suppressed in the public square all in the name of tolerance of nontheism and the promotion of religious diversity and equality.
The phrasing appears to violate Wikipedia's WP:NPOV, and the content appears to violate the policies concerning citation and biographies of living persons. Although this will be my first Wiki edit, I feel confident that I can modify this to keep the "Controversy" section intact (very few public figures are without controversy, and this person is no exception) and bring it up to Wikipedia standards.
After scouring hundreds of websites to determine the basis of the aforementioned assertions, including what might be termed "all the usual subjects" - meaning those politically or culturally opposed to Ms. Lipman Brown's activities - I was unable to find any mention of these alleged controversies, much less a reliable source. Thus, even if the statements are true, they cannot be reliably sourced as far as I can tell.
Once the edit is complete, please do critique at will. Jcsam70 (talk) 01:22, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
Party Affiliation
[edit]I am curious, is there a reason why there is no mention of Lori Lipman Brown's political party in this entry? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.141.154.75 (talk) 03:36, 28 May 2012 (UTC)
