Relationship with Al Sharpton
[edit]The inclusion of this section seems politically motivated. The use of a separate section is excessive. If this information is to remain, I would suggest including it in the Career section. There has also been inclusion of a reference to Sharpton helping the WH decide on a new AG, which is not supported by the linked article. Instead, the linked article demonstrates a clear attempt by Sharpton to suggest he has influence with the White House. In the linked article, he clearly states: "We did not say we are in the decision making. We are in conversation to reach out to them to have meetings about what we want to see in a successor." If this information is to remain, it should be cited with a different article or multiple articles that demonstrate Sharpton did in fact help the WH. 71.137.210.129 (talk) 19:28, 7 November 2014 (UTC)

- A more recent Official Photograph exists at justice.gov. I will upload that to Commons and then update the article with that new picture. Safiel (talk) 02:34, 8 November 2014 (UTC)

Washington Post reference needs reformatting
[edit]Apologies (and please help!) After I added a final reference from The Washington Post http://link.washingtonpost.com/544d7e7f3b35d04a5292eb0d2j096.33th/VTkzPsPok-tnA32iAc635 confirming the Senate confirmation vote, I got bumped out (logged out of) Wikipedia when I attempted to correct my flagged, incorrect formatting of this reference. Can someone please edit/correct this for me? Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Erasistratus1 (talk • contribs) 00:02, 24 April 2015 (UTC)
Party affiliation
[edit]I have removed, for the second time, the party affiliation from the infobox. I find ZERO reliable sources that make any claim about Loretta Lynch's party affiliation. We have blogs, we can make deductions based on original research and synthesis, but unless a bona-fide reliable source (preferably Loretta Lynch herself) says she is a democrat, we cannot include this claim without violating WP:BLP. ~Amatulić (talk) 06:50, 10 July 2016 (UTC)
Sally Yates to be Acting US Attorney General?
[edit]Shouldn't we wait & see first, whether the US Senate votes on Sessions confirmation or not on January 20, 2017, before will install Yates as acting AG pending? GoodDay (talk) 04:41, 18 January 2017 (UTC)
Controversies
[edit]Senate Judiciary Committee launched an investigation in June 2017 into whether Lynch tried to stifle the Hillary Clinton email probe. “I’d like to hear what Loretta Lynch’s explanation for that is, either by having her come to the Hill or by having her speak publicly. It does give me a queasy feeling as well,” said Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) on CNN’s “State of the Union.” [1] The bipartisan group of lawmakers on the Senate Judiciary Committee asked Lynch for information about an email, first reported by The New York Times, in which former DNC chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz informed an official at George Soros’s Open Society Foundations that Lynch had assured the Clinton campaign that the investigation into the presidential candidate “would not go too far.” [2] Loretta Lynch faces possible felony and jail time if alleged DNC emails exist, per Judge Andrew Napolitano, on the Senate's investigation into whether former Attorney General Loretta Lynch intervened in the Hillary Clinton email investigation. - Was an update ever released about this investigation? When I google this topic the only hits are from June 23 where the original announcement was made. Did the Committee ever release any findings? Mr Ernie (talk) 14:27, 16 April 2018 (UTC)

Disambiguation
[edit]Further disambiguation is needed, since a former president of California Public Utilities Commission is also named Loretta Lynch (and certainly would be worthy of having her own Wikipedia page).

Personal life.
[edit]I'm studying Lorreta Lynch for school, but I was wondering if for future purpose for othe researchers, would it be possible to add more to the personal life section? Like what she does outside of her job, her hobbies and such? 2601:C8:C002:4740:95FE:11FD:FBFF:385B (talk) 21:08, 21 December 2021 (UTC)
