Productions

I think this play premiered at the Royal Court Theatre, London, in July 1959 with Vivien Leigh. Looking for sources. Found: [1]. Also in the Graham Payn book, p. 81. JeanColumbia (talk) 12:03, 6 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Synopsis

Can anyone expand the plot summary? Best regards, -- Ssilvers (talk) 23:18, 8 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Assessment

[edit]

This article is still a stub, as it lacks a plot synopsis section, which is the key section sought by readers of our play articles. Please add a synopsis section if you can. -- Ssilvers (talk) 07:11, 20 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Now c-class at least. Wondering why it only played for a month in New York? -- Ssilvers (talk) 07:41, 24 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
It had the New Haven audience in pleats, but the NY critics' lukewarm reviews did it no good. Mind you, that is Cole Lesley's view - and indeed Coward's - but they may be biased. Perhaps the piece just isn't quite good enough. Tim riley talk 08:59, 24 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
