[edit]This species is indigenous to south-western Victoria, but since the mid 1980s, large feral populations have established around Sydney and Newcastle.
Habitat
[edit]I went ahead and changed it to read "but is not uncommon in urban areas." I know of two flocks that inhabit urban areas in Pakenham and Narre Warren, west of Melbourne. Loma Prieta 09:24, 24 July 2006 (UTC)
LOL! I love how the birds in NSW are labelled as "feral"! Maybe they just flew on over from Victoria (I would), in which case they just "migrated" or "extended their range".
