I think it may be worth reviewing this wording, both out of WP:BLP and WP:NPOV concerns. Has there been an explicit confirmation from Williams as to why Sargeant was replaced by Colapinto? What do different reliable sources have to say on the matter? The fact that Sargeant is being replaced by a relatively unproven driver like Colapinto instead of someone with more of a proven track record like a Vettel or Latifi or Giovinazzi suggests that there may be other factors at play behind this decision beyond just "a series of poor performances". HumanBodyPiloter5 (talk) 10:16, 30 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I think it is an accurate and neutral representation of what the reliable sources (I have read) say on the matter. It's not a BLP or NPOV issue if the sources say it. On that note, your third sentence ("The fact that Sargeant is being replaced ...") is WP:OR. My bigger concern is that this phrase appears only in the lead and not in the 2024 section of the article, it should be the other way around. SSSB (talk) 10:24, 30 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I wasn't arguing that the article should say that, I was just explaining why the wording comes across as questionable to me when there was only one source being cited. If there is a consensus amongst reliable sources that the reason for Sargeant being replaced is that he was performing poorly, then that's a reasonable enough explanation for the lead, but it's still desirable to describe things in more fleshed-out terms in the main body of the article, and if that winds up showing less-than-total consensus amongst sources or just a generally more-nuanced picture of the situation then it may be desirable from a BLP or NPOV perspective to cut the "series of poor performances" mention from the lead. HumanBodyPiloter5 (talk) 11:19, 30 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I definetly think that we should cut the sentence from the lead because I'm sure sources exist that show the situation isn't this black and white and the lead is not the appopriate place to discuss the complexities of the situation. From an WP:DUE point of view, we probably do need more sources for what is essentially an opinion (Williams haven't stated that this is why he was sacked, as obvious as it is) SSSB (talk) 11:23, 30 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
