Issue regarding article name
[edit]Should this article be named "Logan (novel)"? The article's lead and infobox express the title of the novel to be Logan, a Family History and do not say anything about the novel being referred to as "Logan".
Edit: The lead does refer to it as Logan but it does not show any reason why (like it does not say that it is also known by that name or for that X reason, it is referred to as that) so my point still stands. - Mat333o (talk) 20:22, 19 April 2023 (UTC)
- My thinking is that this is a situation just like Uncle Tom's Cabin. If you read the Reception section of this article, you'll find scholars and John Neal himself referring to the book as simply Logan. So the question for me is actually whether or not the infobox title should continue displaying the full name. Do you have thoughts on that? Dugan Murphy (talk) 12:46, 20 April 2023 (UTC)
- Regarding your question whether or not the infobox title should continue displaying the full name, honestly I am not really sure. Based on my experience, infobox titles (in general) should typically be the article name as the article name is either the full name of the subject or what the subject is commonly known/refered to as.
- If Logan is what the novel is commonly known as then I personally think it would be the best for just Logan to serve as the infobox title. But this is just my opinion. Mat333o (talk) 19:32, 20 April 2023 (UTC)
- I'll change the infobox title to the novel's short title. Dugan Murphy (talk) 01:55, 21 April 2023 (UTC)
