town history

[edit]

What about the history on this page? Lodi was formed when, by who? 1800's Notable people? War vets? Farms or Bussiness?

respelling

[edit]

The respelled and phonetic versions of the name are incorrect. 75.247.7.114 (talk) 18:40, 19 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

What makes you say that? Both versions result in, for lack of a better way to write it, "LOW-die," which is correct for this Lodi. Some other Lodis are pronounced "low-DEE," but Lodi, Wisconsin is pronounced the former way. 205.185.143.70 (talk) 19:28, 19 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
    • The respelled version uses a vowel that is not on the list of respelling vowels. The IPA version lacks the break between syllables. Lodi, California, is LOAD-eye which is the same IPA used for Lodi, WI. The error is not the pronunciation, but the encoding. 75.247.7.114 (talk) 23:52, 19 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Then by all means, be bold! 205.185.143.70 (talk) 01:09, 20 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Scott McCallum

[edit]

Section 7, Article 5 of the Wisconsin Constitution was amended in April that the lieutenant governor would governor if there was a vacancy due to death or resignation. Scott McCallum became Governor of Wisconsin when Tommy Thompson resigned the office. I reverted the edit in the notable people section of the Lodi, Wisconsin article that stated Scott McCallum was interim governor. According to the Wisconsin Constitution Scott McCallum became governor not interim governor. Thank you-RFD (talk) 16:20, 6 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
