Do not consider it requires retention for potential reinsertion. People can refer to the City of Busselton for the current list of leaseholders.Adondai (talk) 04:07, 29 January 2024 (UTC)
- Encyclopedia articles should not be interested in WP:Recentism - some of those tenancies are of historical context, and in view of the length of time they were held, is probably beyond the general tendencies of council websites to be pruned of all historical context - current leaseholders is one thing, but the potential likelihood of accessible information about the tenants/past tenants is what actually makes some wikipedia articles more relevant than ahistorial sanitised council websites JarrahTree 01:23, 23 March 2024 (UTC)
Incorrect page name
[edit]I do not believe the current page name of "Lock Nature Reserve" is accurate. The "Lock Estate" is the name state and local government authorities have used since the 1930s to describe this portion of Crown land. Current examples include:
- City of Busselton: https://www.busselton.wa.gov.au/resident/locke-estate.aspx
- 2008 Wagner Report: https://www.busselton.wa.gov.au/documents/932/connell-wagner-report-for-public-comment-2008
- DBCA: https://library.dbca.wa.gov.au/static/FullTextFiles/017590.pdf
- Local Media: https://www.busseltonmail.com.au/story/4351885/camp-has-a-new-lease-of-life/
- State media: https://thewest.com.au/news/south-west/aged-care-group-secures-campsite-ng-ya-101484
There doesn't appear to be any official sources which refer to the land as the "Locke Nature Reserve". Furthermore, the current name is misleading. The Locke Estate is an 'A class' reserve, specifically reserved for "Recreational Campsites and Group Holiday Accommodation". Whilst environmental constraints and lease agreements overlay the reserve and restrict the use, the reserve as a whole cannot be described as a nature reserve.Adondai (talk) 04:07, 29 January 2024 (UTC)
- Hmmm ... it was listed as a nature reserve in 2016 and in July 2019, which both pre-date my move of this article, which was based on this version of the List of protected areas of Western Australia page. If it's not a nature reserve, where would it fit in to [[List of protected areas of Western Australia, then? If you really feel like it you can move it. Graham87 (talk) 19:47, 29 January 2024 (UTC)
- The naure reserve is a subsidiary classification, the name of the reserve is derived from the name of the estate. The BMP you provided refers to it as the Locke Estate.Could you please move it back? I'm not that familiar with the Wikipedia processesAdondai (talk) 08:05, 22 March 2024 (UTC)
- OK, done. Thanks for the explanations. Graham87 (talk) 15:50, 22 March 2024 (UTC)
