United territorial communities

[edit]

Question, do the constituent members of a united territorial community retain their independence apart from this new unit (i.e. do each of them retain their own councils and such), or are the constituent parts merged into this new entity? This should probably be made clear on both this article and the administrative divisions of Ukraine article. --Criticalthinker (talk) 12:12, 19 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • One additional question I've never quite gotten the answers to: Is the entirety of a raion sub-divided into rural, town and city (of district sigificance) councils, or is there territory of a raion which lies outside of local councils and is thus governed directly by the raion? --Criticalthinker (talk) 06:28, 3 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
