Comment

[edit]

I used to work for Lloyds Bank International in Pall Mall in 1976 and worked for LBI until Lloyds Bank Overseas London and LBI merged on 1/1/1986 to form Lloyds Bank Treasury. I worked ther until I left in 1989.. LBI was in France, New York and other places and was known as Bank Of London and South America in places like Spain, Buenos Aires etc.(BOLSA) So to say that it was formed in 1993 is incorrect as BOLSA Madrid was in exsistence then... Old vs New

[edit]

This article is about the Lloyds Bank International that was bought by Sabadell and merged into its parent in 2014. The present-day Lloyds Bank International Limited can be effectively covered in the Lloyds Bank article. If need be, this article could be renamed Lloyds Bank International (former), or something similar, and an article for the current business expanded upon later. The article starts "Lloyds Bank International is ...". Surely "Lloyds Bank International was ..." would be better? Also, it is described as a "public limited company" ( a PLC, presumably) in the infobox, but the title of the box is "Lloyds Bank International Limited". This is all very confusing to me (and possibly to other people). It looks as if some changes need to be mede by somebody in the know. The original Lloyds Bank International was formed in 1974 and absorbed into Lloyds Bank in 1986. Lloyds TSB Offshore was renamed Lloyds Bank International in 2013. It is described as a private limited company in the infobox. I hope this clears up the confusion. 2.27.75.26 (talk) 00:49, 11 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
