[edit]I thought I'd do this in case there's any dispute about notability (admittedly he is not as "notable" - or at not as least famous - as Vladimir Ashkenazy, Daniel Barenboim, or Martha Argerich). These are eleven criteria suggested for notability of musicians - written with popular genres in mind, I think.
- Has had a charted hit on any national music chart.
- Has had a record certified gold or higher in at least one country.
- Has gone on an international concert tour, or a national concert tour in at least one large or medium-sized country, reported in reliable sources.
- Yes, he has performed in England, Wales, Scotland, Germany, Spain, and the USA, and he has played at international music festivals in the capital cities of England (and of the UK), Wales, and Scotland.
- Has released two or more albums on a major label or one of the more important indie labels (i.e. an independent label with a history of more than a few years and a roster of performers, many of which are notable).
- He has released this:Chopin Preludes, as well as appearing on a CD given away "free" (i.e. in reality included in the cover price, I imagine) with a nationally retailed magazine.
- He has two albums on the Signum Classics label: one of works by Mussorgsky, Debussy and Liszt (works inspired by paintings or engravings) and one of works by Liszt. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jls10463 (talk • contribs) 17:03, 23 June 2013 (UTC)
- Contains at least one member who was once a part of or later joined a band that is otherwise notable; note that it is often most appropriate to use redirects in place of articles on side projects, early bands and such.
- Has become the most prominent representative of a notable style or of the local scene of a city; note that the subject must still meet all ordinary Wikipedia standards, including verifiability.
- Has won a major music award, such as a Grammy, Juno or Mercury Music Award.
- Has won (or in some cases placed second) in a major music competition.
- All available prizes at the Royal Academy of Music 1998-2000, Sinn Fellowship 2000-2002, YCAT 2002, Edinburgh Festival Critics' Prize 2002, Radio 3 New Generation Artist 2003, Borletti Buitoni Trust award 2004, MIDEM Classique/IAMA Outstanding Young Artist Award 2005.
- Has performed music for a work of media that is notable, e.g. a theme for a network television show. (But if this is the only claim, it is probably more appropriate to have a mention in the main article and redirect to that page.)
- Has been placed in rotation nationally by any major radio network. [Haven't a clue what that means.]
- He has been broadcast on BBC Radio 3 and S4C television.
- Has been the subject of a half hour or longer broadcast on a national radio or TV network.
- He was the subject of a documentary on Welsh national TV.
