Splitting current article
[edit]Originally, the listings of Scott's film, radio and television appearances, as well as the criticism section, were part of the main article on Lizabeth Scott. "Filmography" is unsatisfying as it doesn't describe her performances in other media. Lauren Bacall's works are listed in a separate article called "Lauren Bacall on screen and stage," which covers all the listings in that article. I propose to rename the current article "Lizabeth Scott (works)" and split off the criticism section into its own article, "Lizabeth Scott (criticism)", as the criticism section doesn't really fit in with a listing of Scott's works. By the way, Scott's stage performances are also missing from "Lizabeth Scott filmography."

- This should be retitled something to the effect of Lizabeth Scott on screen and stage, because that is what the article is about, not some distinct entity entitled "Lizabeth Scott". As WP:TITLEFORMAT states: "For example, an article on transport in Azerbaijan should not be given a name like "Azerbaijan/Transport" or "Azerbaijan (transport)" – use Transport in Azerbaijan". See also e.g Tom Hanks on screen and stage. Also, for the sake of redundancy, you do not need to repeat a biographical sketch nor include an infobox on every sub-article you create: a simple link to the biographical article is sufficient. --Animalparty-- (talk) 19:55, 17 February 2015 (UTC)
- Points taken. I will move article to Lizabeth Scott on screen and stage, though it doesn't cover her radio performance or songs. Jamesena (talk) 18:31, 18 February 2015 (UTC)
