The original essay

Thank you for your writing. You force me to search for the copy of Living Systems I purchased nearly 30 years ago directly from the publisher through its book club, ot at least to visit the library at UCSD. I notice you have posted the same essay for ISSS. Your writing appears to be a very good tribute to someone who created not just "the 'most integrative' social systems theory," but quite possibly the best systems theory to date for describing the relationship of every dynamic thing to everything else at every level, a very general theory indeed. As a former computer science major, I see applicability of LST to automata theory/computability as it relates to distributed systems, an offshoot of lectures heard on the physiology of neural networks modeled on massively parallel computer systems.

I am also interested in passing along a critique of Darwikinism as expressed by User:J Hill/Wikipediology. It seems important that someone is attempting to formalize a study of the Wikipedia, but it appears that the work is done in isolation and without a prior knowledge of Miller's LST. I will be sending my comments to J Hill after I have done my re-reading of Living Systems as well as looking at both the Millers' 1992 Behavioral Science article and Wallerstein's Modern World-System. It amuses me to find tonight that Miller's assistant Elaine Parent may only be a local phone call away, but I am saddened to find Prof. Miller's obit at the UM site, as I truly enjoyed reading and re-reading his book in my younger days. Not a single theory or proponent of this concept

There are multiple "living system theories" yet this article only deals with those concepts by J.G Miller. Any objection i introduce several other living system theories? BatteryIncluded (talk) 02:02, 5 October 2009 (UTC)

I definitely agree! I assume that means you have some knowledge of the subject. If so, the living systems article needs to be clarified, and these articles need to overlap less. Hello. The theories that I have documented so far, are strictly biological (& environmental/ecosystems) and I added them here. Some additional research is needed to gather a few more 'notable' theories. I am not into building this article from the sociology or international politics aspect of living systems, but the natural science of it, e.g: biology & ecosystems.
