Wimbledon
[edit]By naming them "Wimbledon" and marking them as defunct, aren't you breaching NPOV? While both AFC Wimbledon and the Dons themselves make no claim of being the successor, I believe that legally theyMK Dons are - otherwise, MK Dons would have had to have started at the bottom of the pyramid, like AFC Wimbledon did. I think you need a footnote. --Dweller (talk) 14:50, 20 March 2012 (UTC)
- I see your point and will investigate it further tomorrow, very tired at the moment so not doing it now, but as far as I understand AFC Wimbledon were formed independently of Wimbledon (as they were still known as Wimbledon when AFC Wimbeldon according to our pages here). The MK Dons bit is not as clear cut in my view but I will have a look. I don't agree I'm breaching NPOV, the club known as Wimbledon no longer exists, I think that much is clear. MK Dons don't have any claims to the history of Wimbledon, neither do AFC as I understand it as well. I'll investigate further tomorrow after some much needed sleep. Sorry, my use of "they" was ambiguous. I've struck it and replaced it in bold to make it clearer. MK Dons don't claim Wimbledon's history, but legally they are the successors. --Dweller (talk) 10:25, 22 March 2012 (UTC)
- The issue doesn't seem to be very clear cut, so i've added a note as you suggested, feel free to change what I've put if you see fit. NapHit (talk)
