Reversion explanation and use of IdbD forum thread as source

[edit]

Ordinarily I would agree with the reversion, but Ruud Altenburg's website is itself a source for Nicholas Pegg's authoritative Bowie encyclopedia. If the website is authoritative (and for Wikipedia it is), it is because Altenburg is as reliable, if not more, as any other source on Bowieana. Altenburg posted the song lengths himself from his own copy of the album and explained the song length changes in the posting. As we say here, dollars to doughnuts that when my Virgin Records US copy arrives on 21 or 22 July the total album length will be no more than 11 seconds different, either way. --Fantailfan (talk) 21:53, 4 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If it's true then there should be another source. The fact Bowie wrote the tracks and the timings should be self-referential anyway. --JD554 (talk) 05:57, 5 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Changed source to allmusic. There is a 10 second (fewer) difference between the two. --Fantailfan (talk) 14:45, 5 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
