Notability
[edit]This article needs some reliable sources to meet the notability standards set out at Wikipedia:Notability (books). Book reviews, articles, etc, in newspapers and magazines would do the job. Nick-D (talk) 07:10, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
- I have tried to address some of the concerns, but will seek out more references. My friend a “Bond Buff” has this book, and a reference/review in an IDOLS magazine, (which he keeps in the book) but it’s a page torn out of the magazine, minus date making it hard to give as a reference. My point is that if this book, is being used by other James Bond books as a reference source, then it should be in the Wikipedia so people looking up about this book can read about it here. Besides, if it’s used as a reference source, then surely it has to be notable? --SteveKSmith (talk) 08:45, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
- Not necessarily; notability is determined by the availability of significant sources about the topic of the article, and isn't inherited from related topics. References in other books don't seem sufficient to meet the notability guideline as they're not about this book and obviously don't go into any depth on it. Nick-D (talk) 10:55, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
- Yes, I see your point, what’s frustrating is that I know there’s a review about it and seen it, but for some reason he only bothered to keep the page and not at least write the damn date with it. My problem is that my references are what I can source from the Internet, unless I’m fortunate enough to stumble on other sources or know of someone who does. As far as I can find out - It's often referred to as the "little Yellow book" among Bond fans when talking in connection with Little Nellie, for obvious reasons as it does stand out. (i.e. "the little yellow book about Nellie clearly shows ... etc...") As is clear from the Link given in references, Ken Wallis now always signs "Little Nellie 007", due to this books title, which can be seen in the photograph on the ebay web site. Another problem I have is that this book came out 18 years ago and so reviews will be about as old. I’ll keep looking. Thank you.--SteveKSmith (talk) 11:55, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
