[edit]It is nonsense to say about "anode component" in case of a rechargeable battery, as "anode" and "cathode" are defined by current direction:
during charging positive terminal is an anode, negative - cathode; during discharging the positive becomes cathode, the negative - anode.
Same for Lithium-titanate battery. Lithium-ion battery clearly says titanate is used as negative electrode material.

[edit]There are several different lithium titanates. The most important ones are the lithium titanate spinel Li4Ti5O12 – this is the one used in lithium titanate batteries – and lithium metatitanate Li2TiO3, which has been suggested to be used in the breeding blanket of fusion reactors. Discussing completely different substances in one article causes errors, in particular, the formula of metatitanate Li2TiO3 given in the present version of lithium titanate is not applicable to the titanate used in batteries. Please split the present article lithium titanate in three articles: lithium titanate (to discuss all variants, including Li4TiO4), lithium metatitanate, and lithium titanate spinel. --Nick B. - The white powder in the image is the spinel Li4TiO4, the crystal structure shown below this image is the metatitanate Li2TiO3. --Nick B. (talk) 21:19, 9 May 2022 (UTC)
