Orcas?
[edit]Aren't Orcas a kind of dolphin? Should they be listed here? 98.242.111.79 (talk) 22:46, 4 May 2013 (UTC)
- Hmm, possibly the list should be moved (renamed) to List of cetacean sounds? The subsection at Dolphin#Vocalizations points to Whale song...
- Ah, here we go: Whale: "is the common name for various marine mammals of the order Cetacea. The term whale sometimes refers to all cetaceans, but more often it excludes dolphins and porpoises, [...] the sperm whale, killer whale, pilot whale, and beluga whale [...]" - so, that's the confusion.
- So, the list could probably stay at its current title, and get a single sentence explaining the term's ambiguity. Ask at Wikipedia:WikiProject Cetaceans if you want more info/input. –Quiddity (talk) 23:04, 4 May 2013 (UTC)
