- That's an impressive list of references, but footnotes would be nice to clarify which source supports which of the article's statements. That's particularly important for those conflicts we do not have articles about, such as the conflict between Tondo and Namayan that is not mentioned in either state's article (and the Kingdom of Tondo one rather explicitly says there are no sources for Tondo's history at the time of this supposed conflict, making it rather unlikely that it is known whether or not Tondo claimed victory). I also have to retract my comment about non-standard layout to some degree; many other lists of wars by country share this layout, though this particular article is one of the most strangely colorful. However, many of those other lists share this one's deficits (such as dubious unsourced claims, systematic WP:NPOV violations, and a completely unmotivated use of colors); they are not necessarily good examples to model this one after. And this does not at all address the most basic issue, namely that this list is a worse duplicate of th Military history of the Philippines article which also is a list of military conflicts involving the Philippines.
- Regarding factual errors, the era of the First Republic is most glaringly obvious: A couple of dates in that section are just plain wrong. The worst omission is the Spanish conquest of the Philippines and the suppression of revolts that dominated Philippine military history for the 300 or so years to come. There are other defects, such as the fact that the Rajahnate of Cebu is on the wrong side of the conflict between Lapu Lapu and Magellan or the bizarre inclusion of "missionaries" in that conflict, which cost the losers less than a dozen deaths and of which the Spanish king was not even aware - not much of a war in my book. re edition
[edit]i recently replaced the doubful conflict of the Kingdom of Tondo and Namayan for its not cited on both-articles of it .
More references
[edit]I added some inline citations, as have other editors, and there a very extensive bibliography, but I suspect there may never be enough references to satisfy everyone. Perhaps some other editor may disagree, and remove the tag.--DThomsen8 (talk) 18:55, 24 September 2015 (UTC)
List of wars starting from the Philippine Revolution?
[edit]This list is very long and also has issues. I believe this list should start from the Philippine Revolution since before that there was never been a true Philippine state. The Philippines is not like China where dynasties can be said to be "China". The Philippines is more of the United States which was colonized by the British. Their page starts from the American Revolution and doesn't include any prior wars, battles or revolts like those involving Indian American such as the Anglo-Cherokee War. So I suggest splitting the articles into three articles:
- List of wars and battles in precolonial Philippines
- List of Philippine revolts against Spain (might be redundant due to Philippine revolts against Spain)
- List of wars involving the Philippines - from the Philippine revolution onwards.

Questioning section: Philippine-American War (1899–1913)
[edit]This is a summary article, and summarizing involves simplification, but I assert that this has been oversimplified here re the end date of the Philippine–American War. That wikilinked article conflicts with this article. See that article and sources cited there for details. Discussion?? Wtmitchell (talk) (earlier Boracay Bill) 13:20, 19 June 2018 (UTC)
Spanish-American War
[edit]This article ought to have a section on the Philippine involvement in the Spanish-American War. See Spanish–American War#Philippines, which ought to be listed there as the {{main article}}. Wtmitchell (talk) (earlier Boracay Bill) 13:27, 19 June 2018 (UTC)

Philippines Flag
[edit]Philippines Flag etiquette states that during times of War, the Flag is displayed (horizontally) with the Red field on top. The Blue field is displayed on top during times of Peace. 2601:285:8200:1049:78CB:BB0B:DF1F:3BA7 (talk) 10:47, 21 May 2023 (UTC)
moro conflict over?
[edit]Moro conflict ; at least on the wiki page itself and general internet articles, it would seem it is over and should possibly no longer be considered 'ongoing' 2600:8803:9983:F600:FD77:CCF:7571:62FC (talk) 18:30, 13 August 2024 (UTC)
