Consolata Cathedral Institute
[edit]www.cathedralinstitute.ac.ke Consolata Cathedral Institute was started in 1967 by the Archdiocese of Nyeri then called Cathedral Secretarial College (CASECO) to train secre-taries alone. In 1995, computer department was introduced which also opened up part-time students from the surrounding. In 1998, the college opened to other courses which include Food and Beverage, Cloth-ing Technology and K.A.T.C intermediate to add up to the Secretarial course all courses being at craft level. The institute was inspected by the Ministry of Education Science and Technology, the facilities inspected and subsequently the institution was approved to operate as a fully registered and recognized institute by issue of a certifi-cate of registration No: MRT/PC/323/99.The name also changed from Cathedral Secretarial College to Consolata Cathedral Institute. The institute has a capacity of 250 students with, boarding facilities for 200 students. Currently we have 100 students are both boarders and day scholars. It had been a dream of our institution to offer Diploma and short term courses. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.49.89.162 (talk) 10:13, 2 February 2010 (UTC)
