This article is needed
[edit]I'm trying to collect as many resources on the oldest currently-registered internet domain names. So far, I have this (.com) and this (.org), so please bear with me. Thanks. --Toussaint (talk) 01:11, 28 November 2007 (UTC)
This article should be reorganized
[edit]When I visited this page, I expected one single list with entries from all top-level domains.
Individual lists (such as for .com) already exist, on the .com page.
There's duplication going on here, which should be reorganized. CapnZapp (talk) 11:53, 15 June 2009 (UTC)
links
[edit]And why isn't the entries links, so you can one-click an entries you want to know more about...? :-) CapnZapp (talk) 11:54, 15 June 2009 (UTC)
Temple University
[edit]WHOIS has their domain, temple.edu listed as activated on May 27, 1987. Article is protected? so I can't add it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.141.142.38 (talk) 01:51, 9 March 2011 (UTC)

University of Southwestern Louisiana (USL) 1960~1999
[edit]University of Louisiana at Lafayette, former names: Southwestern Louisiana Industrial Institute; Southwestern Louisiana Institute of Liberal and Technical Learning: University of Southwestern Louisiana
At the table, I see this error:
- 34. · 25-Mar-1986 · northeastern.edu · Northeastern University
- 34. · 25-Mar-1986 · usl.edu · Northeastern University
- University of Southwestern Louisiana (USL)
Timeline (history) University of Louisiana at Lafayette & 1986 & USL was renamed UL Lafayette (1999). Its website: http://www.louisiana.edu
- I've changed it to:
- 34. · 25-Mar-1986 · northeastern.edu · Northeastern University
- 34. · 25-Mar-1986 · usl.edu · University of Southwestern Louisiana (USL) 1960~1999, then: University of Louisiana at Lafayette

Clusters of dates
[edit]It's notable that there are batches of registrations on certain dates, and also throughout 1986 batches are added on a monthly basis. What was the reason for this? Did the IANA have monthly meetings where they went over and approved domain names, or was there a technical reason? -Ashley Pomeroy (talk) 16:46, 26 March 2017 (UTC)
Domain order
[edit]I think it will be most appropriate to set the domains by eldest registered, and not by domain extension. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wikidomainer (talk • contribs) 18:57, 18 November 2017 (UTC)

Cap .edu list to 100?
[edit]I feel the .edu section should be capped to 100 entries. Seems like plenty and the 100 cap is used in the .com section. ShadyCrack (talk) 20:12, 24 May 2022 (UTC)
