I propose merging Lake Chad attack, 2015 Niger raid, and 2024 Tillabéri attack into this list. I believe they'd be more useful as part of this list where more context and background are provided. The sources for these incidents all seem to be news media, indicating that they lack long term significance and they cannot be fully developed with any scholarly analysis or significant coverage of lasting consequences. Each of these events are straightforward enough that they can occupy a one-paragraph bullet point in this article. While I believe there's potential for further merging into this list, I've chosen these three articles because they're the simplest and would be the easiest to merge. This list does not provide context and background though, there is more context and background on those articles then there is here. I would also skeptical of merging as a one-paragraph bullet point. CMD (talk) 05:06, 12 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Jebiguess, I'm contending that the sources to do this don't exist. Any expansion would just be increasingly granular news coverage, which wouldn't provide any substantial content analyzing the subject and wouldn't assist in indicating notability. I would oppose merging if proper sourcing existed to make all of these into full articles. Thebiguglyalien (talk) 06:01, 13 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Support. Do not independently pass NEVENT. Maybe some context can be added to it - and I don't think it has to be one sentence per se, anywhere from that to a paragraph is fine IMO PARAKANYAA (talk) 10:09, 20 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
