Country linking
[edit]There is no need to put a link to the country name in each entry of the list. Each entry already has a flagicon that points to the country name. The desire to reduce linking is covered in MOS:OVERLINK. It is not as if the link takes the reader to more detail on the topic ('terrorism in country X') as this is already done by the conflict link (eg. War in Afghanistan (2015–present)). Is there any rationale for continuing to add all these country links (Other than "but, we've always done it this way..")?. Loopy30 (talk) 12:31, 3 July 2017 (UTC)
- Most people wouldn't think of clicking on the country's flag to go to the article about that country. StrikeDog (talk) 22:21, 5 July 2017 (UTC)
