Page Order
[edit]The page should have some sort of defining order to it. Alphabetical would be the easiest, though I think Chronological order would be more meaningful, albeit more complicated. I'm not advocating sectioning them off though, that would get messy at this stage. Rostbrot (talk) 16:21, 23 December 2009 (UTC)
I would suggest chronological starting with the earliest birth date of the artist.Alienterrain (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 23:05, 27 February 2011 (UTC).
Artist vs. Studio
[edit]The use of "Artists" in the article title can be misleading with the inclusion of studios as well. I not sure what could be substituted to reconcile the two, but I do think a change needs to take place. Rostbrot (talk) 16:21, 23 December 2009 (UTC)
Let's include the studios in the chronological list by the date of their establishment or release of first film.Alienterrain (talk) 23:06, 27 February 2011 (UTC)
Description Length
[edit]This is a list of notable stop motion artists and should not include lengthy descriptions - each individual artist's article is responsible for that. I move to keep artist descriptions to a minimum (perhaps three lines or less) focusing on their notable innovations/contributions/stylistic differences instead of listing so many of their works and only list one or two of their most notable/influential works. Rename the page "Chronological List of Stop Motion Artists, Producers and Companies" arranged by date of release of first film for companies and date of birth for artists and producers.Alienterrain (talk) 23:09, 27 February 2011 (UTC)

Animators! not directors
[edit]Yeah, Stuff that came from Tim Burton and Henry Selick are some of the most notable stop motions today (although Tim's name is usually just slapped on for publicity like with Nightmare before Christmas) they are NOT stop motion animators. Uncle Ray was an animator before directing and still animated in the movies he directed. Henry Selick was trained as a 2D animator, he has never actually animated for the movies he has directed. As for Tim Burton, he is not an animator in any sense of the word, he never has and never will. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.246.157.37 (talk) 15:53, 6 August 2010 (UTC)
