I came across this list when trying to find out how many state boarding schools there are in England. However, the website cited won't load for me - possibly it doesn't even exist any more. Looking at the list, of the two schools in my area, one closed over a year ago (Welbeck), and the other merged with another school and changed its name (Burleigh) over a decade ago, I know they used to have a few boarders to do with their sports provision, but don't know if that still happens. As the information about both the schools I have heard of is wrong, I think someone needs to go through and check all the schools, and find a reference/ references that still exist/ are up to date. I do not have the time or the inclination to do this myself so have put an update tag on the page and left this comment.
