SCR J0740−4257?
[edit]I can't find any reference to SCR J0740−4257 (listed as 23.5 LY from Sol). Is this a real system? Does anyone have a reference for it? Nothing I can find on it on the RECONS web site despite its RECONS catalog number, and SIMBAD gives an invalid number format error. --Dave Seagraves (talk) 21:55, 22 April 2016 (UTC)
- Yes, it is a real star.[1] Looking for sources...I suspect that given the similarities this is a Wikipedia mirror...this is a good reference. --JorisvS (talk) 22:33, 22 April 2016 (UTC)
Gliese 408 not Binary?
[edit]The page shows Gliese 408 (Ross 104) as a binary [A B], but a link to the detail article indicates it is a single star (as does Simbad and ARICNS). Maybe it was thought to be a binary at one time; when the page was first set up? Tesseract501 (talk) 04:45, 1 July 2023 (UTC)
- Given that we apparently were using the wrong number, my guess is that we just had the wrong information. I'd like to check the Gaia data just to be sure, just can't ever remember where the actual raw data is stored... Primefac (talk) 09:23, 3 July 2023 (UTC)
