Some things on this list don't really make the cut
[edit]- Here are the lyrics for Bon Iver’s song “Holocene.” I don’t see much here about Portland, and so I suggest removing it from the list.Anythingyouwant (talk) 01:09, 6 April 2015 (UTC)
- Here are the lyrics to Rocky Votolato's "Portland is Leaving." Despite the name of the song, I don’t see much here about Portland, and so I suggest removing it from the list.Anythingyouwant (talk) 01:48, 6 April 2015 (UTC)
- Regarding "11:11" by Rufus Wainright (2003), the song mentions Portland but I can't see that it really says anything about Portland. Maybe I'm missing something. Anyway, I can't find a reliable source as a footnote.Anythingyouwant (talk) 05:32, 6 April 2015 (UTC)
More songs that don't make the cut
[edit]I don't see any reliable sources that indicate we ought to include these:
- "California One Youth and Beauty Brigade" - The Decemberists; references the Multnomah County Library (2002).
- "Children of Divorce" - Jonny Craig; lyric "back to these cold shitty days in Portland" (2009).
- "DB Cooper" - Todd Snider (2000).
- "Hot Time" - Poison Idea, references Old Town (1987).
- "Portland" - Justin McRoberts.
- "Portland" - Sharks (2013).
- "Pride of Cucamonga" - Grateful Dead (1974).
I will remove these from the list.Anythingyouwant (talk) 18:54, 6 April 2015 (UTC)
