This says City of Singapore was sunk by U-515 as part of convoy TS 37 on 1 January, the source given being Jordan’s World's Merchant Fleets. However, TS 37 ran in April-May, and our list page for May 43 also records this ship, sunk on 1 May (source this time being uboat.net). Jordan is a reliable source, so was she sunk in May as part of TS 37, or in January in some other circumstance?
Does anyone have access to a copy of this book, to check what it actually says? Xyl 54 (talk) 16:49, 24 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Not the complete answer, but published Lloyd's Register Casualty Returns for 1943 (page 22 of the pdf) lists CofS as a war loss in Quarter 2 (ie Apr-Jun) - they did not publish exact dates or circumstances for war losses at that time.
