The Times (Dec 27, 1952) called it the Margareta.

File:Flying Enterprise.JPG

[edit]

Recently, MB298 removed File:Flying Enterprise.JPG from the list because it is a non-free image that did not have a NFUR for use in the list. I'm satisfied that the removal for the reason given was a valid one. However, I also believe that the image is a valid addition to this list. I asked MB298 for an opinion on the inclusion of the image with a NFUR and was referred to WP:NFLISTS. Part 4 of NFLISTS states that it is preferred not to repeat the use. This does not forbid the use of the image though. Part 6 of NFLISTS states that images that are used only to visually identify elements in the article should be used as sparingly as possible. This is adhered to with shipwreck lists by only using images of actual sinkings or wrecks. General photographs of the ships involved are not used. By adhering to this, the lists are not overrun by images and those that do appear significantly add to the list.

Proposal

That File:Flying Enterprise.JPG be restored to the list, with a suitable NFUR added to enable its use in the list. Please indicate your support or objection below. Discussion above the !votes please. Mjroots (talk) 05:31, 24 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@MB298: given a lack of objections in a fortnight, and your comments above, I have added a NFUR for use in this list. I will now restore the list to its previous state. As I said above, your edits were valid for the reasons stated and this should not be taken as any criticism of such edit. Mjroots (talk) 21:10, 8 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
