Deagon Deviation - Part of State Route 26
[edit]- Needs it’s own article:
- Opened 1979.
- Linked to Gateway Motorway 1986.
- Completed separate to Gateway Motorway 2018.

A21 and A139
[edit]These are 2 new roads in my home area of Toowoomba. The A21 goes from Heldion Spa via Toowoomba to Charlton, and the A139 from Harristown via Westbrook to Athol. I am inexperienced in editing tables in Wikipedia, so I was wondering if someone could add them to this one.

Tourist Drives
[edit]Queensland tourist drives should also be added to the list of road routes in Queensland. There is very little information about these routes online so it would be a great benefit to add information about them here. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Surfie007 (talk • contribs) 04:33, 15 August 2020 (UTC)
- Some of the many things you might like to know about tourist drives in Queensland can be found at
https://www.qld.gov.au/transport/safety/holiday-travel/scenic Unfortunately there is not much of a definitive nature re numbered or signed routes. Downsize43 (talk) 09:20, 15 August 2020 (UTC)
Hi Surfie007
I have done a similar thing to NSW, however as an NSW resident, I know most of these routes. See below
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_road_routes_in_New_South_Wales#Tourist_Drives
However it has been more than 9 years since I've lived in QLD and I barely remember the Tourist Drives. However, there are some famous ones and you can enter those.

State route 6 road list and length are wrong
[edit]State Route 6 needs to be updated to match the actual route it follows in the Noosa area. Multiple sources including OpenStreetMap, Waze & Queensland Globe show the correct route. Google Maps does not show the correct route. This information can also be verified by looking at road signs.
- Feel free to make the changes, quoting an appropriate reference (not Waze). When done, please remove references from talk page. Downsize43 (talk) 00:02, 17 August 2020 (UTC)
- Still waiting for this to happen! Downsize43 (talk) 23:32, 15 October 2020 (UTC)
- All good now. Refs removed from talk page. Downsize43 (talk) 06:40, 30 December 2021 (UTC)
Duplicating Routes 3-7
[edit]Hi
I just wanted to state that if you see a duplex route in Routes 3,4,5,6 or 7 this is because it helps with finding a way with duplicate route numbers. See the M1 and M3 for more on what I'm talking about.
Cheers, Thent1234 (talk) 07:17, 15 October 2020 (UTC)
- Please explain why you think this is an improvement, rather than unnecessary duplication. Downsize43 (talk) 23:16, 15 October 2020 (UTC)
Keeping the A routes separate from the M routes
[edit]@Life200BC, Marcnut1996, and Downsize43:
Hello everyone.
I suggest we keep the A routes separate from the M routes as they are different routes. All other state pages have this (i.e. NSW, VIC, ACT and SA). What do you think?
Thent1234 (talk) 08:13, 2 November 2020 (UTC)
At this stage, I think keeping the routes together because they are essentially one continuous route however they change from motorway standard to a arterial standard.
If they were a completety seperate route I would agree. But There are no such routes in queensland
Life200BC (talk) 08:20, 2 November 2020 (UTC)
Hi Life200BC
I see the M15 and the A15 here or see M1 and A1 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_road_routes_in_New_South_Wales
I don't agree with that. I think a better seperation for routes would be for 1 to 10 and then 11 to 20. I personally think they are the same route and should be kept together
Life200BC (talk) 08:34, 2 November 2020 (UTC)
I also prefer M and A to be listed together in one entry if it forms one continuous route. But for consistency with other states, I am also ok with them separate. Marcnut1996 (talk) 10:39, 2 November 2020 (UTC)
@Life200BC and Marcnut1996: Okay, I see you can't have it in the NSW section otherwise it'll be like M1/A1/M1/A1/M1/A1/M1/A1/M1/A1/M1/A1/M1/A1 or A15/M15/A15

- Changes may be made to Draft:List of tourist drives in Queensland. Downsize43 (talk) 23:22, 19 November 2020 (UTC)
- Finally the new article has been approved, and the section has been removed from this article. Downsize43 (talk) 00:29, 29 March 2021 (UTC)
Old routes
[edit]Consider adding inactive routes to the article. NSW and VIC have ways to show inactive routes but QLD doesn't. Jordf32123 (talk) 23:25, 16 December 2022 (UTC)
- @Jordf32123: can you point to some NSW/VIC examples of what you have in mind? Did you have any particular inactive QLD routes in mind for inclusion? Kerry (talk) 08:04, 17 December 2022 (UTC)
- List of road routes in NSW (numeric) List of road routes in Victoria (numeric)
- Examples may include numbers that were decreased or downgraded to plain numbers when turned to alphanumeric, or old national highway numbers. Some more examples can be ones similar to the former number section of the infoboxes. Jordf32123 (talk) 00:02, 20 December 2022 (UTC)
- Could you please give actual examples? According to legend at the bottom of the tables in List of road routes in NSW (numeric) the grey-coloured entries are decommissioned, but almost every entry in the tables is using that grey colour, but surely they are not all decommissioned?! So that's not helpful. Similarly what's a specific example of an inactive Qld road? I'm not saying what you are proposing is a bad idea, but it's hard to comment on something so vague. Kerry (talk) 21:30, 24 December 2022 (UTC)
- I am just wondering what came before the single-digit alphanumeric routes. For example - Warrego Highway is listed as formerly National Highway 54. Jordf32123 (talk) 09:25, 30 April 2023 (UTC)
- I also was suspicous that something there used to be part of route 66, which was correct Jordf32123 (talk) 09:31, 30 April 2023 (UTC)
