Table formatting
[edit]@CambridgeBayWeather: what are you doing? Your edit summaries appear to say you are correcting table formatting when in fact they are repeatedly creating table formatting errors. This results in a blank cell in the second row (next to the "Region and postal code" merged cell), second column (under the "Kitikmeot Region X0B" cell), resulting in the intended contents of the second row being pushed over one cell to the right, creating an otherwise null fifth column with only the cell in the second row populated with "(replaced Baffin Region, NWT"). If you aren't seeing this then there must be something wrong with how the device you are using is reading the code. I am not seeing what you appear to be seeing. I am seeing what the others appear to be seeing. Hwy43 (talk) 14:53, 21 August 2019 (UTC)
- It's Firefox on Ubuntu that's causing the problem. It puts "Region and postal code" on one line and "(replaced "Kitikmeot Region, NWT")" underneath it. The last column has "Qikiqtaaluk Region X0A ᕿᑭᖅᑖᓗᒃ" and a blank box underneath it. I never thought to look with a different browser. - OK. It's Firefox that's the problem. Moved to Windows 10 and the same problem that was there before has returned in FF but not in Chrome or Opera. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Sunasuttuq 21:15, 21 August 2019 (UTC)
- Weird. Could these other browsers be tripping up on the merged cell in the upper-left corner for some reason? I could see splitting the first two rows into three rows without a merged cell. First row called "Current region name", second called "Former NWT region name" and third called "Postal FSA". Hwy43 (talk) 00:55, 22 August 2019 (UTC)

Centre or seat
[edit]They are not called seats but regional centres and has nothing to do with any anti United States feelings. This edit summary is childish. Just because other jurisdictions use seat does not mean that this should use an incorrect term. I notice that some counties in the UK use "Admin HQ". Should we change all of the United States and Canada to use that or change the United Kingdom to read seat? I see you mentioned the state of Connecticut. Should we change the "Province of Alberta" to the "State of Alberta" because that is how it is done in the US? We use the correct term for the place it is located.
Can you also explain why you removed references? CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 20:42, 12 December 2021 (UTC)
- This IP-hopping County-inator is WP:NOTHERE to build an encyclopedia but instead here to fetishly extrapolate the US system of counties across Canada's rural landscape. I am surprised a range block has not been applied thus far. Hwy43 (talk) 21:45, 12 December 2021 (UTC)
- OK. I was beginning to think I was completely out to lunch. Unfortunately I'm involved so I can't protect the articles involved. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 22:09, 12 December 2021 (UTC)
