Names
[edit]In case anyone else tries going on the same quest I did to fill out the names of these quadrangles, I figured I should mention that as of this writing they haven't actually been assigned yet. I emailed Dr. Lisa R. Gaddis of the USGS and she told me that the project to map these quadrangles was put on hold after Copernicus was done. She told me that the project's starting back up again in 2008, though, so more names should be forthcoming in the near future. Bryan Derksen (talk) 04:04, 15 December 2007 (UTC)
Templates
[edit]Also for future reference, there are a couple of handy templates for use with quadrangles.
- Template:Lunar quadrangle - takes selenographic coordinates and spits out the name of the quadrangle they're in.
- Template:Lunar coords and quad cat - uses the previous template to automatically categorize the article, while spitting out properly formatted geolinked coordinates.
Area
[edit]What is the area of these quadrangles? Even an approximate size would be nice to know. I've calculated that it should be roughly 1.25 million km2. GregorB (talk) 13:41, 1 August 2016 (UTC)
