Is there a reason the "Dimona" is listed as part of Beersheba? Amirber (talk) 09:51, 29 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

commonscat

[edit]

I have now changed the commonscat parameter so that it only accepts one value. This should be an (existing) unique category on Commons. If this is entered it replaces the default categories of <Artist>+Sculptures in <municipality>.

The placecat parameter is a temporary solution so as not to waste some of the info previously available in the commonscat parameter. Entries with this parameter should ideally have unique commons categories created, have these enterd into the commonscat parameter and the placecat parameter removed. /André Costa (WMSE) (talk) 20:48, 3 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Some more art

[edit]

I have taken some photos of sculptures at the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, figured it could be added to the list.

Not on the list

[edit]

What if I want to add a photo of a sculpture by an artist who is on the list, but the particular sculpture is not? Specifically, a sculpture by Yechiel Shemi (who doesn't have a page in English, but should) at the park in Nayot, Jerusalem. What about applying to the contest with such a photo?--Geewhiz (talk) 08:34, 12 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Good question. Since we defined the contest as a closed list for the month of May 2013, I think we cannot add another one. We would be happy to add it to the list after May 2013. Drkup(IMJ) (talk) 01:44, 22 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Meanwhile, I have started a page on Shemi and fixed the info in the table - Genesis is not in Nayot, but in the Jerusalem Theater plaza. The sculpture in Nayot is called Syllables 2.--Geewhiz (talk) 11:07, 24 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I have photos of a Dudu Gerstein sculpture on Givat Ram campus, but the sculpture has no name plaque. It is located in front of the life sciences building. How can I figure out which one it is, of the many listed here? --Geewhiz (talk) 07:02, 29 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Pick one of the ones in the list - upload them all on that number. I can then check it to see if it is the correct one. Thanks Drkup(IMJ) (talk) 14:58, 30 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
